I have always wanted to travel to Japan to view the blossoms but there was never a good time to do that. When I came across a fellow parent blogger, David and Angie’s www.lifestinymiracles.com article on the Blossoms beats flora display @Gardens by the Bay. I wanted to head down to have a look.
Blossom beats flora display is happening at the Flower Dome in the Gardens by the Bay. There are more than 20 over species of blossoms, raning from the cherry to the peach blossoms. We headed down to the gardens in the mid morning today. When we reached there, there were a lot of people and parking was full. The ticket booths had super long queues. I immediately logged on to http://www.gardensbythebay.com.sg to purchase the online tickets . One tip, buy the tickets online to save the hassle on queuing.
This is the very first time that the Gardens by the Bay brought in the blossoms for display. Cherry blossoms thrive well in the temperate zone of the northern hemisphere. That explains why hundreds and thousands of people will travel up to Japan or Korea to see the blossoms in the month of April. You will never see the cherry blossoms growing in countries such as Singapore or Malaysia. Below are pictures of the blossoms that we took this morning. Do enjoy it!
This weekend, the blossoms are already in full bloom and some of them have already dropped. What are you waiting for, hurry down to the Gardens by the Bay to catch them. While stocks last! =p
