What has a Baby have to do with Zen? When the word Zen is mentioned, most of us associate it with some monks meditating in a peaceful environment whereas babies are normally associated with crying, screaming and cheekiness! Well, I am not going to talk about some religion or some mysterious way to make your baby enter a zen mode. However I am going to share a review on a stroller. Yes, i say it one more time, a stroller and its name is called BabyZen YoYo 6+.
The BabyZen was founded by five french men who wanted to combine simplicity and design together. They decided to work from scratch to build a one of it’s kind stroller in the world. Out of the designs, came the Zen, the Yoga and the YoYo design. Each of the category is meant for a different age group of children. So the question is why did I buy the YoYo Zen 6+. There were 3 main reasons why I wanted to get it.
1) I loved the design. Period! Who does not buy things they like?
Check out the below pictures. There are a number of colours that you can choose from. There is blue, black, grey, red and pink. We chose the blue colour. The best thing is if you want to change the colour, you do not need to purchase another stroller, just need to buy the colour pack which will consist of the seat cover and the canopy cover. If you want to buy the seat base, it is also available as a separate option. The beautiful thing about it is its ease of swapping the covers out.
2) The size….Size does matters. For a parent, the size of the stroller does matter. We bring out lots of stuff whenever we are on the go. We have our diaper bag which is probably loaded to the brim and also our personal bag. Can you imagine if we have to carry a big stroller around. The BabyZen YoYo when folded, is merely a small “creature” at 52 cm x 18cm x 44cm weighing approximately 5.8kg. For those who are driving, it will fit very well if your car boot is not very big. Because of it’s compact size, it is the first stroller in the world fully compliant with IATA guidelines for cabin luggage dimensions. This means, you can bring it up on most flights. It saves you the trouble on having to check in your stroller at the airport and also some aching shoulders on having to carry your kid all the way to the plane boarding area.
The BabyZen YoYo 6+ is suitable from 6 months up to 15 kg.
3) It is mostly a one handed operation to open up and fold back the stroller.
Do check out my video below on how to open and fold back the stroller. There are some parts that I have to show you using 2 hands but basically it can be done with one hand
